He spent the prior 24 years at the U.S. Department of Justice, where he was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts and a Department of Justice Trial Attorney. Mr. Levchuk was lead counsel on federal jury trials across the country and handled more than 30 appeals before the United States courts of appeals.
His DOJ experience included prosecuting public corruption, computer crime, sophisticated financial crimes, and money laundering. He handled international issues and cross-border cooperation related to cybercrime and was a member of the U.S. delegation to the G8 high-tech crime subgroup. He participated in preliminary work in 2005 with a group of United Nations experts regarding a draft of a new U.N. cybercrime treaty.
